Working with our hands and really using our sense of touch can be very calming. Here is a different way to make a picture using plastercine and your sense of touch.
Drawing with Breath
Paying attention to our breath is a really easy way to calm down our minds and take care of our feelings. This activity helps you to practice mindful breathing by using drawing and paying attention to your breath. All you’ll need is some paper and crayons or markers.
Bilateral Drawing
When we focus on what our bodies are doing it can help us feel relaxed and calm, and make our busy minds slow down. Here’s an activity where you use both your hands for drawing, getting your brain and body working together.
Guided Imagery
Visualization is using your imagination to make a picture in your mind. Visualization can help us relax and feel calm, or it can make us feel energized and happy, and it can help us when we feel worried or stressed.
