When a child or teen is struggling, parents are often left trying to figure out what’s underneath the behaviour — and what might actually help.

I’ve spent my career working with children, youth and families, and I especially enjoy working with teens. Rather than focusing only on what a child is doing, we look at what may be contributing to the difficulty, what’s already working, and what could make daily life more manageable at home. I also support parents who are trying to better understand and respond to challenging behaviour.

My style is caring, honest and practical. Because I work in a client-centred and solution-focused way, your strengths, priorities and goals guide the work. With young people, trust comes first. I want kids and teens to have room to be themselves, take part in ways that suit them, and feel that their voice genuinely matters in therapy.

My background also includes work with addiction, relationships, behavioural concerns, mental health, and children and youth in care. Those experiences continue to shape the perspective I bring to every child, teen and family I work with.

Group Programming

Alongside individual counselling, I also develop and deliver practical programming in Valley Art Therapy's partnership with  community organizations and agencies.

Topics have included life skills, anger management, healthy relationships, and parenting support, with programming adapted to the needs of the group or community.
