You don’t need to know which therapist to choose before you reach out.

As Care Coordinator, I’m often the first person you’ll connect with at Valley Art Therapy. My role is to make getting started feel clear and manageable — whether you’re looking for therapy for yourself, your child or teen, or you simply have questions about what support might be available.

We can start with a little about what you’re looking for, and I can help connect you with a therapist who may be a good fit based on things like age, concerns, approach, location, virtual options and current availability. I can also help with booking, group and program registration, and questions about direct billing or funded counselling programs.

Another part of my role is connecting with schools, agencies and community partners to explore potential supports. That can include coordinating programming opportunities, arranging counselling or group services, and helping with contract or partnership discussions with Valley Art Therapy.

I’m a lifelong resident of the Birtle/Miniota area, apart from a brief stint in Winnipeg where I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminology. I’m a mom of two, the favourite person of our two cats, and the fourth favourite person of our family dog.

Outside of Work
I’m usually trying to create something. Lately that has included knitting, sewing, woodworking, furniture restoration and bead embroidery — although there is usually more than one project on the go at a time.
