Facility Care Assistant

Location: Birtle Office, 743 Main Street

Valley Art Therapy, we believe a beautiful, well‑cared‑for space makes a big difference in how people feel. We’re a group practice supporting children, teens, and adults through therapy, coaching, and wellness—in Birtle, Russell, Swan River, and online. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in keeping spaces organized, welcoming, and inspiring.

What You’ll Do:

  • Keep things sparkling: Regular cleaning of the office to ensure a clean, cozy, and professional environment

  • Support our renters: Manage rental bookings, help renters feel at home, and ensure spaces are ready for use

  • Add your creative touch: Decorate and style the space for seasonal charm and a welcoming vibe

  • Care for our building: Oversee basic maintenance and coordinate with professionals when repairs or upkeep are needed

Where You’ll Work:

  • Birtle Office - 743 Main Street

  • Russell Office - 300 Main Street (occasionally)

Who You Are:

  • ​A team player who takes pride in keeping spaces beautiful and organized

  • A people person with excellent communication skills who enjoys helping others feel supported and welcome

  • Detail-oriented, with a knack for anticipating needs and finding solutions

  • Someone who loves blending practicality and creativity

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facility care - cleaning, management, maintenance

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize dynamic responsibilities

  • Satisfactory Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check

Wage: $18 to $25/hour, depending on qualifications and experience
 
Start Date: Negotiable but as soon as possible
 
Hours: About 10 hours/month – flexible scheduling to fit your life and our needs
