You don’t have to be good at art — and you don’t always have to know exactly what to say.

I work with children, teens and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, stress and difficult emotions or life experiences. I use art therapy and counselling to offer more than one way of exploring what’s happening, especially when words are difficult or talking alone doesn’t feel like enough.

What that looks like depends on the person in front of me. A young child might explore through art materials, movement, and play. A teen might find it easier to talk while drawing or making something with their hands. An adult might use colour, image or metaphor to notice something they haven’t been able to fully put into words.

There’s no expectation that you make something that looks a certain way. The art isn’t being judged or interpreted from across the room. What matters is the experience of creating — and what you notice, understand or become curious about along the way.

My approach is thoughtful, creative and grounded in relationship. I draw from a variety of practices in order to adapt the work to the age, interests and needs of each person.

Outside the Therapy Room
Creativity is a big part of my own life too. I enjoy making art on my own and with friends, reading sci-fi and fantasy, and spending time with my family.
